Following are samples of typical configuations for 5 different-sized POSIM systems. While there is no limit to the number of stations that POSIM can support, these 5 samples offer a good overview of the cost for the most popular-sized systems.
In addition to the hardware and software listed below, each station would require a Mac computer along with a report printer and a network for the system that you would provide.
Again, these are SAMPLE system set-ups...actual configurations may vary depending upon the needs of the individual retail environment.

RWS TRAINING & SUPPORT:
Since 1991, RWS Information Systems has worked with hundreds of retail clients to help them maximize their retail investments and manage their inventories more accurately and productively.
We have helped them implement their POSIM systems most effectively in their individual retail environments, taking into account each retailer's own special needs.
While we are happy to help with any part of the POSIM project, experience has taught us that our support is used most effectively in the following key areas:
A. Planning the project and the system configuration.
B. Recommending data set-up in POSIM (based on feedback from you) so that you use POSIM's fields to yield the most productive reports for your environment.
C. Providing feedback on setting up the SKU's in POSIM (whether importing them into the system, or typing them individually into POSIM).
D. Training key personnel on inventory functions (PO's, Receiving, barcode set-up and priinting, accounting interface); POS functions (ringing up a sale, taking a return, end-of-day procedures, tracking customer purchases); and Security functions (POSIM passwords and salesperson ID tracking).
E. Proactively making sure that all steps are being taken to ensure that the project will be completed by the 'go live' date, and that each step is done properly.
Having worked with many different owners and retail environments, we know that there is no single answer to the question "How much support time will I need?" Some of our customers have chosen to set up and implement everything themselves, and use little of our training and support. Other customers (the majority) choose to use our support for key functions while handling the remainder of the POSIM set-up project themselves. And we have had clients who want us to do everything for them in order to get their system up and running as quickly as possible.
Our experience is that most people use approximately 10-15 hours of our training and support time to get up-and-running effectively on POSIM for a single-user system. Of course, these hours are spent over a period of time, not just in one sitting.
Our training and support time is available in the following prepaid increments:

Thus, the software-only price for POSIM for Mac Single-User (one station) is $1,995; the software-only price for POSIM 2-User Multi-User (two stations) is $2,195 ($1,995 + $200); etc.
MULTI-SITE (MULTIPLE LOCATIONS):
POSIM offers a Multi-Site module for retailers with multiple locations.
This Multi-Site module 'polls' data out of the central database to distribution information about new items, price changes, etc. to your stores. And the module 'polls' sales and customer data from the stores back to your central database so that it can generate comparative and cumulative reports so that you can analyze the stores' performances.
This Multi-Site module automates 'polling' the different store locations in order to create these cumulative and comparative reports.
Pricing on the Multi-Site module varies depending on the number of stores in your business. As a starting benchmark, price for this Multi-Site module for a two-store chain would be $2,077.
